One Bond Consulting is led by Founder and Managing Director Chris Harker, with more than 30 years of experience spanning investment banking, M&A, corporate finance, strategy, international business development and Group CEO leadership.
Chris Harker
Founder and Managing Director
Chris has worked as a Group CEO, senior adviser, corporate strategist and investment banker. Most recently, from 2024 to 2025, he served as Senior Adviser and Head of International Business Development at Sinoma Cement, advising the CEO and Management Committee on international growth, M&A and integration, including the US$140 million acquisition and integration of Votorantim Tunisia.
From 2021 to 2022, Chris served as Group CEO of Cementis, having previously advised Taylor Smith on the acquisition and financing of Holcim’s Indian Ocean businesses. Following completion, he led their integration and operation across Mauritius, Réunion, Madagascar, Mayotte, the Seychelles and Comoros.
His earlier career includes senior roles at Moelis, HSBC and Barclays; leadership positions in corporate strategy and development at Italcementi and Blue Circle; international business development and operating roles with Foster Wheeler and Swire; and experience as a petroleum engineer with BP. He has also served as Senior Adviser to Macquarie and advised the Hong Kong SAR Government on infrastructure investment.
Across his career, Chris has advised boards, governments, financial institutions, investors and industrial companies throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, the Indian Ocean, Asia, the Americas and Oceania. He is also the Founder of PolyMentIQ, the evidence-backed strategic intelligence platform that supports One Bond Consulting’s research and analysis.
Our story
One Bond Consulting was founded to give clients direct access to senior judgement, without the layers and hand-offs of a traditional advisory model. Our advice draws on more than three decades of experience across investment banking, corporate strategy, M&A execution and direct operating leadership, including as Group CEO. We focus on complex situations where transaction experience, strategic perspective and sector knowledge can materially improve both the quality of the decision and its execution.
