The context
The proposed transaction represented a significant early step in Sinoma Cement’s international expansion. The company needed to establish its credibility as a cross-border acquirer while navigating cultural differences, coordinating multiple stakeholders and maintaining momentum against a demanding transaction timetable.
Our role
Head of International Business Development and Senior Adviser, working with senior leadership to develop the international growth strategy, identify and assess acquisition opportunities, engage counterparties and support transaction execution.
The outcome
Developed the international growth strategy and advised on multiple acquisition opportunities, culminating in the successful US$140 million acquisition of Votorantim Tunisia and Sinoma Cement’s entry into the Tunisian market.
